ACT 4 BRAZIL

ACT Global/ACT USA/Mohanji Foundation Brazil response to Rio Grande do Sul (RS), Brazil disaster zone, May 19th–22nd, 2024

 In the beginning of May 2024, heavy rains caused state-wide floods of catastrophic proportions in RS. Initial activity included hygienic items donated via the Federal University of Santa Catarina. 

 The second activity was a trip to the town Lajeado in the River Taquari Valley. ACT contributed with 30 packages of vegan food and hygiene products and 20 baby packages that were distributed to some of the most affected people in the area. It was a unique opportunity to directly interact with the local community and hear their experiences.
