ACT Croatia visited Glina and surrounding villages affected by the major earthquake disaster. This area still has daily earthquakes that cause additional damage to houses and other facilities.
We visited remote villages that are hard to reach, and distributed food, clothes, shoes, dishes, cleaning products ...
This time we spent a lot of time talking to these people and we learned how much they live in fear of everyday earthquakes, loss existence. They enter their houses and ancillary facilities at their own risk because the houses are unsafe and can collapse at any moment. Most of the villages are under snow, there is a cold, mud and they are not currently in a position to clear the terrain.
One day these people look like they are entering the house in a hurry and trying to take something small out of the house. Everything goes at speed from bathing to going to the toilet or preparing meals.
These people have not slept since December 29, 2020 due to great fear, anxiety and stress. They are grateful for everything, but most of all for being heard and talked to.
The ACT Foundation will continue to help these people through future humanitarian actions in which you too can join 🙏 ... See MoreSee Less
