ACT Fusion concert took place on 27th June 2015 in Johannesburg, in aid of the Bona Lesedi project in Diepsloot (Johannesburg).
This was the second charity concert organized by ACT South Africa (for more details about the 1st concert please visit LINK )
Bona Lesedi is a day care centre for people with disabilities. Those cared for, range from early childhood to adulthood. A wide range of disabilities are catered for. Most of the children are mobile but many have physical problems in addition to an intellectual handicap. Some are emotionally disturbed and have behavioral problems on top of their primary handicap.
Bona Lesedi lost local-city funding as their therapy room is too small to accommodate the service users. All proceedings of the ACT Fusion Concert will go towards building a new therapy room, to enable them to secure funding.
The Concert celebrates the cultural diversity of South Africa and was a fusion of African music and dance performed by artists from all over Johannesburg. The artists and production crew were mainly unemployed, living on the streets, and from various shelters around Johannesburg. This Concert gave them a platform to showcase their talents and abilities.
ACT Foundation South Africa was blessed with the presence of Mohanji, the inspiration and Founder behind ACT Foundation worldwide.
